Privacy Notice
Effective date: 7 October 2026
This notice describes how GOEDTYM, powered by YAWESA (Pty) Ltd, handles personal information across the consumer platform, native applications, venue experiences and related services.
1. Information we may process
- Account and identity information such as name, email, mobile number, date of birth, profile photo and verification status.
- Optional demographic information such as gender where you choose to provide it.
- Discovery and preference information such as selected city, interests, budget, searches and interactions.
- Location or presence information when a location-dependent feature is used. Exact location is not automatically shared with other users.
- Outing, Trusted Friend, venue, journey-home and safety-support state required to provide the selected feature.
- Ticket, reservation, order, payment-status and finance records necessary to provide transactions and meet legal or accounting obligations.
- Media you upload or choose to share in venue, Highlight or Event Vault features.
- Device, session, security, push-notification and diagnostic information used to operate and protect the service.
2. Why we use information
We use information to provide requested features, authenticate accounts, prevent abuse and fraud, process transactions, operate venue and outing workflows, provide support, improve product reliability, comply with legal duties and—where you have enabled the relevant option—provide personalisation, marketing or safety-support communications.
3. Optional permissions remain separate
Accepting the Terms and acknowledging this Privacy Notice does not itself opt you into optional marketing, personalised recommendations, precise location sharing, background presence, media sharing or Trusted Friend escalation. Those controls are presented separately where applicable.
4. Advertising
GOEDTYM may display clearly labelled first-party sponsored placements. Third-party advertising is not enabled by this legal notice alone. If third-party or personalised advertising is introduced, we will update this notice, complete required app-store disclosures and provide applicable consent or opt-out controls. Sensitive information such as safety state or precise location must not be used to target advertising.
5. Service providers and external integrations
We may use providers for cloud or hosting services, payments, communications, maps, authentication, push notifications, analytics, ticketing or other functions. Providers receive only the information reasonably required for their role and are subject to appropriate contractual, security and legal controls.
6. Retention
Retention varies by data type. Account data is retained while the account is active and then deleted or de-identified subject to legitimate legal, fraud, tax, financial-record, dispute and security obligations. Short-lived safety and location data should be retained only for the period required by the relevant feature or legal obligation.
7. Account deletion
You can initiate account deletion from GOEDTYM account settings or through the account deletion page. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate financial, fraud, dispute or safety-audit reasons; retained records should be minimised and access-restricted.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent or information about processing. Optional consent can be withdrawn from relevant settings without withdrawing acceptance of the contractual Terms.
9. Security
GOEDTYM uses technical and organisational controls including encrypted transport, scoped access, session controls, MFA for privileged roles, audit logging and restricted handling of sensitive credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The current GOEDTYM consumer product is designed for adults aged 18 or older and requires an adult date of birth for account registration.
11. Contact
For current pre-launch privacy enquiries: yawesa.goedtym@gmail.com. Formal information-officer and registered contact details must be finalised before public production launch.
